Policies describe a set of work to be carried out on one or more machines. These machines may exist within a building or may be spread across the globe since GridVision operates 100% over the Internet. A policy can be the collection of all software on a machine, the collection of performance monitoring metrics, the management of a file or registry setting, the configuration of a machine, and much more. GridVision provides hundreds of policies in the global runbook that are shared across the customer base. GridVision is constantly creating, testing and uploading new policies, which are immediately available to all customs.

Everything is visual, including flow controls and linking objects, enabling you to implement complex tasks and logic without having to write a single line of code. The resulting policies are presented in plain English and formatted to make it easy to read, print or collaborate on.

Although the built-in runbook and object libraries are robust and powerful, there may be a need to incorporate your own specific logic to a policy. With GridVision, users can create their own policies and even embed their own code. All results can be consolidated in the central management console and reporting engine.
